Final Project

FINAL PROJECT : SUPER LAIR

For this project we were assign to choose some building that inspired by nature. Then from there slowly with the guidance from our lecture we start to explore making countless mock-up model which can link with our insects and also 2D abstract drawing and 3D abstract model that we had done in previous assignment.

INSPIRED BY NATURE (BUILDING WE CHOSEN)
The building that I had picked which is Gherkin in London and The Water Cube in Beijing. At first, I thought that this two building  can relate with my insect keywords and also the 3D abstract model but after trying to design and making the model for the hero building structure it did not work out. So I had to picked and research another building again. The second time I chose which is Galaxy Soho in Beijing and Heydar  Aliyev in Azerbaijan.

MOCK-UP MODEL

1st mock-up model

The model look like Alphad car which it did not sync with my insects keywords and the abstract model.

I try to redesign again. However, it still did not work out. Therefore I had to change group to improve and explore more on this case. After I joined with the new group, the lectures ask me to another model

(The mascot as a natural bridge)

Then after show the models, the lecture gave me some advice by playing with the slinky toy (spring toy) and also the based on the picture above. From there I slowly to understand and I try to imagine more on that.

Explore with the curving structure and try to intimate with the sketches that I had did.

The sketches.

Starting from this model it's getting interesting (for me) because this model is different and unique than the first and second model that I had did.

The last mock-up model that I did. This model will be hang under the natural bridge.

METHOD TO STICK THE MODEL ON THE CONTEX MODEL

I had ti heat up the steel ruler so that I can make a hole for the model to stick inside the contex model.

My steel ruler had become victim.

REFLECTION

For this last project, I was quite struggle to understand the concept of this project and trying to design the structure building. When I had re-chose the inspiration building and need to 2-3 model in 3 days, I was kind of down and frustrated but I think positive and try again to do more better. At the end it was worth it and it was fun doing this project even though it was stress and tiredness project. I hope I can do more better and improve for the next semester.

Design Communication (E- Portfolio)

Design Communication Portfolio

For this subject in first semester of Degree in Interior Architecture. We learn how to draw architecture drawing such as one point perspective, two point perspective, isometric and many more. Therefore, the photo that had added in this side are the drawing that I had for the past 6 months and also made as a E-portfolio. The arrangement are based on the portfolio that I had submitted.
